Dr. Irena Vertkin
Irena holds Ph.D. in neuroscience from Tel-Aviv University where she studied the role of GABA(B) receptor in molecular mechanisms of memory. During her post-doctorate studies, she worked on developing functional neuronal cultures for high-throughput screening of neuroprotective drugs from human iPSC. She was awarded TEVA NNE and Sagol School of Neuroscience BrainBoost postdoctoral fellowships. She has extensive experience working with various neurological diseases’ models both in vivo and in vitro. Irena is also author and co-author of multiple publications in the leading scientific journals.
